About Me
I have gone from an average coder who started working for free in the marketing department of a footwear brand out of an accident to having worked for great companies like EY, Richpanel, Digital Scholar, Sharekhan and now Capgemini.
My Journey
Year: 2017
Coding
I decided to enroll in the Bachelor of computer application as I was interested in Computers and technology.
2018 & 2019
The Start: Transition to Marketing
After 2 years of learning to code, I came across a course called “Introduction to Marketing” on TedX.
I decided to take up that course and realized damn I’m made for this stuff what am I doing with my life? This made me want to pursue marketing.
Coincidentally around the same time, I had a business idea to build customizable shoes that had the detachable upper part so I approached a shoe factory to do the job for me but due to lack of machinery of that type and investment issues, it couldn't come to life.
I joined them temporarily as an intern to learn realizing then that they had no online presence.
This lead me to create their online presence for them from scratch
That company is called “Kats”
Hence, accidentally fell in love with marketing.

Learning and building my personal brand
4 months later I made my first Rupee on the Internet, I made 11k by selling a website
The day I was about to receive my current account checkbook to start working as a seller on Flipkart for them, the lockdown happened.
I spent 14-16 hours a day doing courses about marketing, implementing them, and networking in Digital marketing communities on Facebook like learning about digital marketing, digital marketing practitioners, etc.
I also launched my podcast called the “Krishna Arora Show”
I roasted a fake guru after his stupid post in a community that post went viral, this incident got me the tag of “Robinhood” of Rs 99 courses.

Freelancing and MBA
After reasonable success on my own socials, I started Freelancing as a social media manager and a full-time MBA at Lal Bahadur Shastri institute of management.
I scaled the social media accounts of my clients but realized I didn't really like the social media niche that much so I quit that started learning about other domains like ads, funnels, automation, etc.

Practically honing my skills: Digital Scholar
Remember I had spent my time in communities in lockdown and created my podcast?
Well, that paid its dividends and I got an Internship at Digital Scholar because of my goodwill in the communities as a Growth Marketer.
I helped scale it to $2M then quit because of the opening of lockdown and thus offline college

Falling in love with consulting: Capgemini
After working there for 3 months I fell in love with consulting while helping a friend scale his agency and then got a job as a consultant at Capgemini.
